A Classy Value Reference

Today I learned … that, okay, yes there is a difference between class and struct. I’m still not fully clear why there needs to be a difference, or why one can’t be used in place of the other, but I’m sure that will become apparent.

That difference being the difference between a reference and a value. Yep, that’s all clear then…

There was no ‘challenge’ following this lesson, primarily because I had already worked through the steps by pausing the lesson, coding what was being taught, and taking time to figure out what was going on.

Today I learned … Remote Desktop Connection

Due to budget limitations, I’m running Xcode on a late-2014 Mac mini. This means I’m tied to my desk. Doesn’t matter how many Windows computers/tablets/laptops I may have amassed over the years, Xcode demands the use of my old Mac mini.

The answer is to install a VNC viewer on my primary Windows laptop and connect to the Mac using Remote Desktop. This should allow me to continue lessons when away from my desk. Fingers crossed…
